Day 1: Understanding Neurodivergence, Autism, and Communication
Build a foundational understanding of autism and neurodivergence, learn communication support strategies, and develop the relational skills to build trust with individuals on the spectrum.
Day 2: Behaviour Support and Sensory Needs
Understand behaviour as communication, apply the ABC and SEAT frameworks, implement Positive Behaviour Support, and recognise and accommodate sensory differences.
Day 3: Independence, Classroom Success, and Family Collaboration
Use task analysis and prompting hierarchies to build independence, design autism-friendly environments, and build effective partnerships with families and the wider support team.
Day 4: Practical Regulation & Daily Living Skills
Apply evidence-informed strategies for emotional regulation, sitting tolerance, feeding challenges, tactile sensitivity, screentime management, and other key autism-associated concepts.
